Born Charlotte Ellene Bartlett C. Ellene Bartlett spent her young years in Atlanta, Georgia. After WWII, she and her family moved to the small southern town of Stockbridge, Georgia, graduated from high school, married and had two children. After a failed marriage, she married an Air Force Sergeant and the family traveled throughout the US and spent four years in Berlin, Germany.

Her husband passed away in 1996 and three years later, she met her soul mate and started painting again after 40 years. She started writing her first novel, "Letters to Rosy."
